This private horse riding day trip uses good quality horses from the sacred valley of the Incas for an unforgettable day out.

There are a variety of rides available from beginner "try a horse gentle rides" to full day journeys to remote ruins, untouched villages and amazing salt mines.

Routes include trekking high out of the Sacred valley to the plains of Chinchero, Lake Huaypo and down through the awesome salt-pans of Maras.

Alternatively, a flatter route along the River Urubamba to the town of Pichingote and ruins of Pumahuanca may be arranged. Another spectacular route is the climb up to Huchuy Qosqo ruins with plenty of time to explore these rarely visited ruins.

We include a picnic lunch, trained English speaking guide/ horse handler. Novice riders may include a morning private lesson at the ranch followed by lunch and an afternoon's gentle excursion down the River Urubamba.

Fitness: Reasonable fitness and previous horse riding experience is recommended to fully enjoy this tour. However this trip can be customized to just about any level of age and fitness.
